one morning of last week, we were out of bread and i really didnt know what to eat, ended up of having congee with fried tempe, tofu, and shredded ayam penyet on the top of it. i consider it as a healthy one :) and not to forget, i added a little bit chilli sambal to add the flavor, as i can't live without spicy sauce.
sambal recipe;
10 red chillies 3-4 bird eyes chillies 4 shallots 1 garlic 1-2 tomatoes 1 tsp salt 2 tsp palm sugar 2 kaffir leaf 1-3 tsp lime juice
steam chillies, shallot, garlic, and tomato for 15 minutes or until cooked, then blend it together with salt, and sugar, finally add lime juice and kaffir lime...done!
and i think i get my appetite back, gained my weight double than last month, oh well, thanks to moon cake ;)
my second attempt of making hainan chicken rice, still had some lack in chicken's tenderness, but the chilli was just perfect, reminds me of my favorite chicken rice in malaysia.
after failed of making pumpkin bread two weeks ago, i tried again last week with something different. kneading with hands were hard, but the results weren't bad. hubby finished my first batch of mini choco buns when he got back from work. then i baked the rest of the dough. kaya bun and choco bun for last weekend breakfast, i love the texture of the bread, soft... thinking to make other bread now. Labels: bread, recipe, sambal, summer

we live under the same sky
“To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.”
- James Allen Quotes
