Valentine's Weekend
written on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 @ 10:47 am ✈
Every time I want to type a story here, my head is always started to spinning around then blank. It was worked properly before I am started to type, but every single words that I am planning to put here are gone...gone in a split second. I wonder why it always happens. I might not into this blogging things anymore, or I am not ready with all thoughts I wanted to share here. I guess, I am really had to get ready for ginkgo biloba because I need one.
The weekend was great, so I should say it was an excellent valentine weekend too. I had fulfilled my craving for Haagen-Dazs ice cream (a very important task :)), and had all I wanted for valentine day. Since Monday was a President Day; which made one additional day off for Steve, we spent our Sunday in Atlantic City, the casino city. After had a walk in boardwalk, and took some pictures around Trump Taj Maal, Ballys and Caesar, we watched The Show in The Pier Shops at Caesar. The Show is a six minutes multi-sensory presentation of 360 degrees fountain show with light and sound extravaganza. The combination of fountain nozzles, LED, and intelligent lighting fixtures, create illuminated water effects with infinite color possibilities, follows the sound of the music. I love to see the colorful water moves following the sound, it’s amazing. This show is a bit similar to fountain show in Sentosa Island, Singapore; I’d prefer one in Singapore, more animated.
I’ve always wanted to try the jackpot machine for years, but never really get a chance to. I don’t like to gamble but I want to know how to play. We came in to Caesar through The Pier Shops. I saw so many people were busy with their games. Smoke was everywhere; although they said smoking is not permitted inside, but I could smell a thick of smoke there. We had to look around, tried to find a machine for us, and finally had to give up to the smoke. The mission of trying the jackpot machine was failed; we decided to go out from Caesar then enjoying the afternoon while waiting for sunset in the beach.
When we were back to our parking spot, we still had like 1 hour left. We met two Korean guys were about to pay for the parking. One of them was shout, “sipal….bla bla” then he added one more quarter (25 cents coin) to the parking machine. I noticed sipal because that’s the common swearing word in Korean movie; everybody knows that word. We checked their parking machine, and we found out they just had 1 hour for 2 quarters. We were surprised and laughed out loud because we only paid one quarter for 5 hours :D. Lucky we found our spot.
I made Pork Satay while Steve was still sleeping in Monday morning. I was really in the mood for window shopping that day, and decided to finish cooking before mid day, so we were able to spend more time visiting several stores. First, we checked car's cleaning stuff in Wallmart and Target then went to Center City for shopping. This time, we were lucky enough to find a parking in minutes. I knew where I wanted to go and not long after that…Yay, I bought one top in Zara. As usual, we dropped for a while at Di Brunos Brothers, I like their place so much, and most of all, I love their tiramisu. :P
That’s all about the weekend. A weekday is another ordinary day of baking and cooking. What a typical day for me. Thank God, it’s Wednesday now. Weekend is almost here…we are going to New York again this weekend. :)

we live under the same sky
“To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.”
- James Allen Quotes
