A weekend trip
written on Thursday, January 17, 2008 @ 4:21 pm ✈

It took me a week to adjust to the time difference between here and Sydney, and in 10 days, I have to do that again. It doesn't matter how many hour I have to sacrifice to get here, and it really doesn't make me tired of flying here and there, and seriously it doesn't really bother me of people talking behind my back about what I did so far (because I know, I didn't do something bad or wrong), all I really feel, I am afraid I'm gonna cry out loud in the airport, like my heart is about to pop out, and finally the feeling is peeling off into tears. At that moment, I really hate what people calls about long-distance relationship. Really can't believe I've been in this lane all this time. I've made a promise there will be no tears, as we will meet again soon, I can say it very very soon (even though some people doubt it).

Cut off about what will happen on that day, let's me review what I've done for the past days. I just made Spanish Curros, but I didn't take any pictures of it #__#. Cooking and baking are still my main activities here, since I am so jobless in Philly. I made Kue Lapis Beras two days ago, and Kue Soes and Napoleon Pastry on last Saturday.

After went for the groceries shopping on Saturday morning, we rushed into Big Pocono National Park, which is two hours drive from Philly. Too bad, it was closed by the time we got there. The hunters were around the park so nobody was allowed to enter. The nicest thing was we found 100 brands factory outlets in one spot ^0^. I forgot the name, but people will pass the outlet before Big Pocono. We walked around there for about two hours, until we realized it was impossible for us to have dinner at home, then we decided to eat at Arby's, near the gasoline station. My very first Arby's ^____^ love it!! I rarely eat fastfood (or junkfood?), if I did eat it, it must be only KFC, but I can count it.

We woke up early on Sunday, so we arrived in New York by lunch time. Yup, this time were together with Steve's parents. We went to Chinatown again *-* , Rockefeller Center, Radio City, Macy's, Fifth avenue, and Time Square. It was really hard to find parking spot, it could make people got heart attack, especially on Sunday which is free. We found it for one hour after looked for here and there =_=! Steve was really mad, but hey this's New York, and they even put small board saying "Don't even think parking here!" There is nothing to complain about. That's it about New York.

I saw the falling snow from the kitchen's window for the first time yesterday. It was really like a dropping cotton. So small and soft. I was about to jump out in the backyard, and suddenly someone came out from the next door, then I just stopped it. But still, I couldn't hide my smile, too happy to see that falling snow. I kept on come in and out from the kitchen to the backyard, and even Steve laughed at me. Too excited to see snow ^0^. When I am typing this entry now, the snow and the rain are mixing up together outside. Steve said, it's not too cold enough to get snow, that's why when the snow is dropping, it turns into water. Still, I can see that cotton candy, white tiny mini. *-^.

..ups, need to do something now, will continue some stories later on.
